Description

Margaret Thompson’s paintings create sacred, mythic worlds rooted in the natural landscape. Working with oil, wax, sand, minerals, raw pigment, and varied surfaces, she explores the relationship between human experience and the divine order of nature. Inspired by the coasts of Northern California, the jungles of Mexico’s Yucatán, and the high desert of New Mexico, her work weaves geography, myth, and ritual into a luminous, interconnected whole.
