re.riddle presents new work by Windy Chien and Charlene Tan that center around the concept of embodied remembering via gestures, weaving and textiles.

Chinese-American artist Windy Chien and Filipina-Chinese-American artist Charlene Tan examine the potency of memory embodied in gestures and habits via inscribing, recording, documenting. Embodied remembering situates memory as being intrinsic to the body, because it re-enacts the past, it need not represent it. As such, the presentation will consider motion, action, activity, and gesture of memory as they pertain to textiles and tactility.
