Wilding Cran Gallery

For NADA New York, 2023, Wilding Cran Gallery is pleased to present work by Canadian painter, Herald Nix and German artist, Martin Werthmann. Herald Nix has returned to paint the same landforms in his native Salmon Arm, BC, over the years, resulting in this series of intimate oil paintings on birch panel. Werthmann’s engrossing large scale woodblock prints recall the surfaces of paintings that have been built up in layers, and then sanded down in areas, revealing glimpses of the history of their own making.
