The Sphinx is pleased to present works by Jeremy Olson and Viktor Timofeev. Olson creates detailed and atmospheric paintings that explore interiors and architecture while spanning familiar locations and evocative, mysterious alien personas and tools. Timofeev’s paintings and graphite drawings are reminiscent of sublime landscapes, with clouds of ethereal material stirring and pooling on paper. His works find subtle disturbances of naturalism by locating metaphoric systems of computation, such as staircases that allow for directed human interaction, or binary gates that hint at digital logic.
