NADA Miami 2023

Lizania Cruz is a Dominican participatory artist and designer fascinated by the exploration of how migration shapes ideas of identity and belonging in the Caribbean.

At NADA Miami, we will showcase a collection of photographs where Cruz assumes the role of the lead investigator, immersing herself in the documentation of Caribbean history. In this portrayal, she embodies a persona dressed in a uniform of red, white, and blue office attire, symbolizing the nationalism of the Dominican flag. Cruz’s comprehensive research has taken her to diverse cities, including Samana, Seville, and New York.
