Two hand-carved wooden butterflies carry a tattered protest banner with the words “Utter Ruin” written on it. This piece is a wall hanging sculpture that protrudes from the wall about eight inches. Often using animal species thought of as benign, Griebel’s work gives agency and power back to these creatures who inhabit the Earth along side us.
