Installation view: Honza Zamojski presented by LETO, Warsaw

The latest series by Honza Zamojski, entitled “Prism,” consists of eight austere drawings built with elementary geometrical shapes, basic colors, and words arranged on a grid resembling a crossword.

These simple tools stand in contrast to the ambiguity and poetry of each drawing where one meaning becomes many, and the simple narration gets tangled up, forcing the viewer to search for interpretation. Despite its rhythmic and rigid construction, the work tries to provoke the viewer out of their prescribed thought patterns—a prism revealing not only the color spectrum, but more importantly, the nuance of language that shapes our lives.
