Bartlomiej Flis and Malgorzata Mycek are emerging Polish artists whose practices draw on themes of rural identity, local traditions, and folk narratives. Through a contemporary, often subversive lens, they explore questions of belonging, memory, and queerness in relation to the countryside. Both artists were finalists of the 46th edition of Bielska Jesien, Poland’s most renowned painting competition.
