Born in Texas, Indigenous and Mexican American artist L. Renée Núñez lives and works on the Edwards Plateau near the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.
Núñez paints ignored and in-between spaces, the wilds between the concrete tames of Southwestern city life and the expanses of Southern Mexico. Forms do not conform; they shift with ambiguous life.
