Wei Wei creates work revolving around spiritual iconography and love rituals from a feminist perspective. Romantic notions tied to personal relationships and lovers coalesce in earthy, hand ground pigments. Aminlari stitches geometric shapes into paper based on the artist’s recollections of animals, symbols, and patterns in the Persian rugs of his childhood.
