HOUSING will be showing works by six artists who pay close attention to the histories and aesthetics of colonized people while pushing the boundaries of the materials and mediums they work with. Juxtaposing themes of fantasy, science fiction, and religion with the mundanity of the everyday, these works spark necessary conversations about the past and present realities of Black and Brown people. In doing so, however, each of these artists brings their own intricacies to the way they approach form and figurative representation, thus positing new worlds and potentialities.
