Every day, industrially designed plastic packages - that once held scissors, headphones, eggs, toothbrushes and toys, etc. – are massively discarded daily and instantly converted into waste. These residues of cheap and fragile plastic rubbish and waste symbolize the footprints of massive consumerism in our civilization.
By producing plaster molds, Patricia Camet recycles and casts the packagings into ceramic pieces. The artistic process bears resemblance to industrial production and each object no longer reveals what they once held or what they protected.
