Basso presents “Bijouterie para camiones - Jewelry for trucks”, a project which marks a turning point in Basso’s trajectory where he starts experimenting with scale, taking the dimensions of trucks as an excuse. Everything becomes exaggerated, excessive and seems to pop out from the interior of the cabin to the outside.
Fantasy and reality intermix when the artist sets up the pieces over the trucks of real drivers approached in their natural habitat, the road. The truck driver poses proudly projecting himself on the oneiric image of his vehicle, in total acceptance of the artist’s challenge.
