Installation view: ThisOnly presented by Rawson Projects, New York

Rawson Projects is pleased to present a new installation by ThisOnly, a collective developed out of the practice of Chiraag Bhakta/*Pardon My Hindi. ThisOnly’s practice weaves layered narratives and archival research further enhanced by online media.

Through the filter of legendary Bronx rapper KRS-One, the installation explores the aesthetic and socio-political strides of Black cultural empowerment within tyrannical 1980s NYC and national politics.

With several works from the last four years, Adam Taye explores abstracts of perception and commerce with a new tapestry; bootleg NFTs; and a video piece entitled “Recent History” that examines the subjectivity of recorded history, specifically on Governors Island. Adam lives and works in Brooklyn.
