NADA House 2021
Sculptor Chris Bradley mines the essence of everyday objects found in his life and in his studio. Bradley’s installation for NADA House touches on the area’s early history as a fishing camp. Angling and aquaculture in the region have changed significantly since the 16th century, and to reflect on the shifting uses of the site, Bradley exhibits a large dangling group of objects that could (or could not be) pulled out of the bay with a baited hook. At once humorous, strange, and alarming, the oversized dragging line of items activate the vertical space of the room as well as sections of the floor nodding to the island’s maritime past.
