Homegoing is a site-specific performance that investigates the intersections of women’s work and aggressions towards women of color. This performance engages in rituals, movement, song, and spirit of the African Diaspora through acts of purification, protection, and commemoration such as altar building and sage smudging. This performance incorporates historical and ancestral memory through use of the Yoruba cosmology.

Presented with BFI, Miami; located on the patio.
