Description

FOUNDRY SEOUL is pleased to present a new body of work by emerging artist Effie Wanyi Li (b. 1995, Hainan, China) at this year's edition of NADA New York. Based in London, Li explores the dynamic relationships between body and mind, and sensation and emotion, materializing these ever-changing inner landscapes in an exquisite painterly language. Through this series, Li further refines her inquiries into the recognition and reconciliation of sensation, narrowing her scope to observations on chronic pain while simultaneously elaborating upon her previous investigations of trauma and recovery.
