Asya Geisberg Gallery is proud to present new works by Katarina Riesing and Gabriela Vainsencher.

Katarina Riesing's portraits are bold and confrontational, and play with revealing and concealing gendered bodies, layering their flesh with patterned adornments, either in the form of gossamer clothing or blemishes, scars, tattoos, and hair.

Gabriela Vainsencher's ceramic wall reliefs combine archaeological and anatomical motifs, vibrant glazes, and references to motherhood and the body. Her pieces continue to reference Greco-Roman amphora shapes as symbolic vessels.
