Gattopardo

Gattopardo is thrilled to present a solo booth of new work by Raffi Kalenderian anchored by a large-scale history painting of Miami’s oldest and most storied haunt, Mac’s Club Deuce. The content and context of the presentation cheekily nod to the phenomenology of nightlife, while Kalenderian’s adept fracture renders overlapping moments of conviviality and solitude with lush, intimate specificity. The central painting is accompanied by small paintings of cocktails- works that operate simultaneously as still-life portraits and as visual “garnishes” to the world of the main scene.
