Galerie Michael Janssen is presenting recent paintings by artists Monique van Genderen and woven works made from digital collages by Margret Eicher. Both artists’ practices glance back at art history critically with a feminist lens, destabilizing patriarchal claims to mastership and authority through the use of the copy, appropriation, mimesis, and scale.
