Over the past decade, the field of arts publishing has changed considerably, with the disappearance of legacy publications and the rise of new editorial models, from independent regionals, to those backed by galleries and art spaces, or supported by non-profits and corporate philanthropy. Throughout, the bottom line remains the same: supporting writers, providing a record of contemporary art, and connecting new audiences across culture. For this panel, we have gathered representatives from across the field to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing art publishing today.

Panelists
Emmy Catedral, Center for Art, Research and Alliances
Allie Linn, United States Artists
Pauline Schellmann, Ars Publicata
Hunter Braithwaite, Cultural Counsel (Affidavit, Hyundai Artlab Editorial)
