Join artist and performer Narcissister for a screening of her activist art film Narcissister Breast Work, which premiered at Sundance 2020 and won a prize for Best Documentary Short at Outfest in August 2021.
Focusing on the exercise by women of their right to bare their breasts in public, this film is an investigation into how prohibitions on female toplessness are grounded in fear of, and desire to control, the female body.
Following the film Narcissister will be in discussion with Lia Gangitano of Participant Inc. The two will discuss Breast Work and the potentials and failures of activist art.
