Vonson is the solo sonic expression of Brooklyn-based visual artist “Hydeon” (AKA Ian Ferguson). An outsider artist who is internationally represented by Ricco/Maresca Gallery, New York and Bim Bam Gallery, Paris).
Vonson creates his music by using an old RadioShack keyboard in combination with an old electric guitar, both found on the street in Brooklyn. His voice is found by using a children’s toy autotune device called PaperJams given to him as a gift by Chicago artist Ray Borchers.
His debut record “Hybrid State of Mind'' is out now on all streaming platforms via Chicago based ‘record label,’ a subsidiary label of Secretly Canadian Records.
