Studio Route 29 presents new paintings and drawings by three artists who work in our supported studio program: Theo Baransky, Michael Angelo Mangino, and BJ Armour Jr.

Baransky’s paintings are devotional talismans drawn from his ongoing research into film distribution companies and their cultural histories.

Mangino paints with a sophisticated formalism that springs forth independent from the history of painterly abstraction.
    
In Armour’s multifaceted practice voices of family members and cultural icons passed reach through time and dreamworlds to bring dance, joy and humor to the present.
