NADA New York 2023

For NADA New York 2023, Nino Mier Gallery is pleased to present a series of paintings and wall sculptures by Polish artist Tomasz Kowalski. The works develop the artist’s approach to building enigmatic worlds that toe the line between playful and macabre. Kowalski’s figures are often shown on the fringes - some melting into the architectures that contain them, others transmuting within disintegrating cityscapes. Thematically, the works engage with issues of anxiety and biopower in urban landscapes, represented by Kowalski’s experimentations with medium, materials, and compositional methods.
