A rigorous multidisciplinary artist, forces majeure relocated Jorgensen from LA to NYC during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Drawing became Jorgensen’s primary form again—distilling a decade plus of interdisciplinary investigations into the foundational practice of observational plein air picture making. Jorgensen continues to work in this mode, rendering the natural in the urban landscape before layering acrylic paint, death metal emblems or LED clock numerics to dialectically convey anthropocenic and spiritual collisions of time and phenomenologies.
