Pere Llobera (Barcelona, 1970) is, above all, a figurative painter. However, his constant crisis of the painting profession, as well as his voluntary escape from technical virtuosity - and even the legitimacy of a style - lead him to approach painting from a genuine specificity which intensifies the conceptual over the formal. Therefore, his painting is rather a system of thought, an ideological construction that, from the canvas (and derivatives), frees itself from the narrative and bets on a poetic tension.
