“My aunt ironed so many clothes sometimes I thought the ironing board was an extension of her body. I had a dream that she was attached to the ironing board and she asked me to help her. In my head, I was trying to think of all the logistical solutions like cutting the board but eventually she said it was ok to leave her like this. It was hard for me to imagine how was she going to do all her chores and take care of herself and her children. They say dreams are reflections of your feelings maybe this is really me feeling tired. This one is for all those who take care of the domestic chores like ironing (mostly women), and all those unpaid labors of love we do for our families!” - Karla Diaz
