Thinking around the use of a sponge when in the meditative space of a common chore. When washing dishes I like to reflect and internalize the way I use the sponge. Because, form follows function. It's the vessel which carries out the duty unto purpose. Holding the cleaning substance I often waste between each dish. I think of it in this way. Between each task am I wasting the necessary fuel or willingness, and or in this case soap. To carry out the next task. How am I preserving self.
To wring yourself empty and refill between each task has to be exhausting and just wasteful.
