As an emerging artist, Lightbody seeks to organically engage viewers through his large-scaled abstract paintings navigating and challenging addiction, hedonism and nihilism, while accepting the existential ethos that is life and process. Through anthropomorphized emotional states, he encourages others to approach and accept shadow work as an intimate facet of our being. Lightbody utilizes maximalist media structured through abstract configuration to translate emotional experiences mirroring the Brutalist movement and animist symbolism.
