Galeria del Paseo

Lima

Verovcha (Lima, 1994) has developed a distinct formal language through the construction of works with totemic reminiscences. Modular in structure, her works are made from canvas, linen and paper, and layered with pastels, acrylics, and natural fibers to give them an organic appearance. Verovcha’s work is influenced by Eastern philosophy, the Andean cosmovision, and the counterculture of the 1960s.

Description

Organic forms are synthesized and become diagrams of possible metabolisms. In this process, which can be described as a transition towards abstraction, bright colors generate vibrations evoking Andean traditions and higher states of consciousness.
