Ignacio Gatica and Martin La Roche present an installation that features two interconnected bodies of work. Ignacio Gatica presents a group of collected watches once used as propaganda for US presidential campaigns, the watches will be hacked to tick at specific times that reference moments when US foreign intervention dramatically shifted the way we perceive the present. Martin La Roche displays a collection of multiple crossword cutouts, forming a rectangular architecture on the window. La Roche explores the pastime as a technology to measure words, language, and meaning.
