As the art world grows more tenuous, society more volatile, and the demands placed upon artists more varied, the role of the artist residency, not as a space of retreat, but one in which to prepare for advancement, becomes all the more important.Moderated by Hunter Braithwaite (Senior Vice President of Cultural Counsel), this conversation brings together representatives of three different types of residency programs to talk through strategies for providing artists with space, time, and opportunities.
Featuring Sara Arno (Founder and Executive Director of SoMad), Jeanne Masel (Founder and Chief Curator of ART FOR CHANGE), and Sarah Philp (Deputy Director of Delfina Foundation).
