Galleries in Cologne, or How to Make an Art Scene that Doesn’t Fall Apart in Two Days is a moderated talk that brings together five Cologne dealers to discuss how exhibiting and selling art in Cologne has changed over the past two decades. The discussion includes those dealers which have recently founded galleries exhibiting emerging art, alongside dealers whose galleries and programs, while once nascent, have now become canonical. With an emphasis on how gallerists forge lasting relationships with their artists and their collectors, the hour-long event aims to address one of Cologne’s enduring questions of how to make a scene that’s always exciting and always in touch.
