VSG Contemporary

Conceived as a deliberately busy and visually crowded “stay,” the booth pairs four large-scale paintings with twenty-four smaller works, turning the language of hospitality into something restless, humorous, and psychologically charged. Using the hotel as both setting and metaphor, Goodman frames a temporary refuge where privacy, desire, distraction, and unease coexist. What is meant to soothe instead overwhelms, asking where peace and quiet can still be found. Following a breakout 2025, he expands this language into an immersive environment reflecting contemporary anxieties and excess.
