Arseny Zhilyaev. Solo Show. "Behind the fog of war there is always pain" (series, 2022–ongoing) gathers newspapers from 24.02.2022 onward, their texts veiled with white paint to evoke obscured truth and the emotional weight of conflict. Echoing Stilinović and the “fog of war,” the work traces time through shifting paint layers. Alongside it, The "Monotony of the Pattern Recognizer" series of 2021 - machine embroidery, algorithmic text, acrylic on canvases - extends Zhilyaev’s use of white monochromes to question institutions and frame white as action and renewal.
