Performance by Farah Al Qasimi
Skylight Clarkson Sq
Presented with Helena Anrather.

Farah Al Qasimi’s “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love My Room” is a performance in the form (and roughly the length) of a punk song. Using common objects found inside a teenager’s bedroom, the performance cites a laundry list of complaints from the perspective of a young woman coming into adulthood, acutely aware of being watched by the government, her parents, and a host of other implied presences.
