The work captures the typical houses of northern Africa and southern Italy, the Damussi houses. Iulian Bisericaru was captured by their ancient architecture during his residency in Pantelleria, an area that has always been affected by drought. The Dammuso, the architectural symbol of Pantelleria was created in the 10th century A.D. and it evolved and developed up until the 17th century. The artist captures the Mediterranean alure with striking abstract passages inserted over the architectural backdrop of the ecological housing system, which are collecting water by the shape of their roofs.
