Daniel Martin Rincón, ¿Hasta Cuándo nos durará el futuro? (How Long Will Our Future Last?), 2024
Colored pencils on cardstock
17 × 12 inches
A drawing that inhabits the question and, at the same time, the promise of a better future as a motivating force. Through a dialogue of colors and manipulated images, it creates a false temporality between a family archive and fictional dissident actions—two archetypal images functioning as decoys, negotiating between truth and falsehood, yet possibly never reaching agreement.By weaving together memory and speculation, this work explores the instability of the future and the shifting boundaries between past and becoming.
