GALLERY HAYASHI + ART BRIDGE

GALLERY HAYASHI + ART BRIDGE is pleased to present two female Japanese artists, Midori Arai and Kurumi Ono. Arai (b. 1992) creates abstract paintings that explore themes from gender and feminism to wild grass and natural landscapes, challenging the Western, male-dominated legacy of modernism. Ono (b. 1995) buries photographs in soil, allowing paper and ink to decompose as she explores the tension between impermanence and the human desire for preservation.
