Amity NYC & Krupa Gallery

Artworks

Description

Lukasz Stoklosa fronts a booth presented by Amity (NY) and Krupa Gallery (Poland). Known for his dimly lit paintings of haunted royal apartments, abandoned palace grounds, and faded icons, the Polish artist turns his palette on Miami itself - with additions to the canon that feature ties to the fabled American paradise. Historic gowns worn by visiting princesses, sun drenched landscapes, Art-Deco landmarks in decline, and Michelle Pfeiffer’s ‘Elvira’ from Brian De Palma’s 1983 Miami-noir ‘Scarface’ constellate as both a lament and celebration of the city’s singular spirit.
