Musician Roddy Bottum and Artist Matt Connors will be lending their keen ears, excellent record collections and nimble hands on behalf of the Fire Island Artist Residency to invoke the sounds of Spring at NADA. Longtime friends and musical collaborators, this DJ duo will be sure to get you moving and grooving like we do it in the freakiest beach shacks of Fire Island.

Roddy Bottum is an American musician, best known as the keyboardist for the San Francisco alt-metal band Faith No More. He is also guitarist and co-lead vocalist for the pop group Imperial Teen. In addition to popular musical career, Bottum also scored three Hollywood movies and composed an opera entitled Sasquatch: The Opera, which premiered in New York on April 2, 2015

Matt Connors is a painter with a profound interest in technique and color. His work draws upon the history of painting and processes, particularly minimalism and abstraction, but is also influenced by design, poetry, writing and music. Recent exhibitions include solo exhibitions at Canada, NYC, and Cherry and Martin, LA, stud/file, Xavier Hufkins, Brussels, Belgium, New York Painting, Kunstmuseum Bonn (2015); The Forever Now: Contemporary Painting in an Atemporal World, MoMA
