Small room, kitchen, or outdoor space:
Non-members: $650 / Members: $500
Medium room (approx. 150 sq. ft.):
Non-members: $800 / Members: $650
Large room (approx. 225 sq. ft.)
Non-members: $950 / Members: $800
Please note that room assignments and fees will be determined based on each proposal.
The participation fee covers exhibition operations, promotion, staffing, and events.
There are 22 rooms across two buildings, ranging from 100–225 square feet, as well as open areas in the hallways and stairwells. We encourage participants to visit the space in person, and can arrange visits to the island.
DATES & TIMES
The exhibition will be open to the public Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays from May 7 – August 2. NADA will provide staffing during these times.
We plan to have monthly events throughout the exhibition. Please share any proposals for performances or workshops that could happen on Governors Island in conjunction with the exhibition.
SHIPPING & INSTALLATION
Each gallery is responsible for shipping, installing and deinstalling their work. NADA will help coordinate with Governors Island and the ferry service.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
One or two artists per room. Work can be installed directly on existing walls. Exhibitors have option to paint the walls and are responsible for repainting walls back to original color at the close of the exhibition. Ceiling and floors cannot be drilled into. Please note that the house is not climate controlled and has no usable plumbing, but does have electricity.
